An in-depth audit of the sport of cycling is being launched to weed out the drug culture. They plan to look at the events, the calendar, the riders, the teams and the management, and involve sociologists, sports psychologists and physiologists. Article on the subject in the BBC. What about starting way earlier in the schools, and trying to do something generic about sports, and ethics in sports from kindergarten level an up ?
I checked on the UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) website, and found their rules page, but there is no code of ethics in evidence. Somewhere near the bottom of the page there is a document on anti-doping rules. They obviously need to do a lot more than an audit.
