  • Thinking Ethics was a project launched in Geneva to foster the debate about ethics. A few friends, fed up with only reading about abuses in the media, decided to hold a forward-looking seminar on five subjects: ethics and performance, ethics and knowledge, ethics and consciousness, ethics and disobedience and ethics in real time. If moral has to do with right and wrong, then ethics is its application in society. We believe that people need to talk about the subject to determine the level of ethics they want. The book Thinking Ethics, a result of the seminar, is to start the discussion. This blog is a contribution to the conversation.

What's next

Now that the participants have gone home, and the journalists are busy writing up the debates and ideas generated during the seminar, we hope to keep the discussion going by giving all participants author status. Hopefully, you will be able to keep in touch with their thoughts and interests in this space. We might be releasing some of the ideas for discussion while working on the publishing of the book. Our partner for the publishing is Profile Books, who define themselves as publishers of "stimulating non-fiction", www.profilebooks.co.uk. We hope the book will be available in a book shop near you at the beginning of June.
