The new report from CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) - check their website - contains disclosures of greenhouse gas emissions from a larger number of large corporations. While Fortune 500 companies seem to acknowledge the problem, very few of them have systematic procedures or companywide activities to tackle CO2 reduction and other environmental issues. Investors are now more aware of climate change issues - see f.ex. this short article that reports key findings from the last report - but are still not taking the long-term view in their investment policies. The interesting trend is that more CEOs and business leaders begin to view climate change as a business issue, which will impact the sustainability of their business.
