The TED conference has some really great speaches, and this one by Barry Schwarz on practical wisdom is particularly relevant to our current economic situation. He does not believe that more rules and regulations is the solution. With moral skills and moral will, people will not do better. And one does not acquire these by taking ethics courses. He believes one should remoralize work and one way to do this is to celebrate moral exemplars. Back to the basics, or as Barack Obama said, virtue and hope. Full talk here.
